A round button in the bottom-right corner of the window keeps the chats and terminals you are watching one click away from any page. ⌘⇧W opens it.

  • Add or remove items with Watch and Unwatch in their right-click menus.
  • Each row shows whether the item is running, waiting on you, or done.
  • Click a row to peek: a chat peek shows the recent transcript, live status and a working composer; a terminal peek is the live shell. Open jumps to the real chat or terminal.
  • The list survives restarts. Finished items stay until you remove them.

The Skills page lists every SKILL.md folder Aether can find, grouped by where it lives, and lets you create, edit, enable and delete them:

Source Folder
Aether skills in Aether’s config folder
Claude Code ~/.claude/skills
Codex ~/.codex/skills
OpenCode ~/.config/opencode/skills
Antigravity ~/.gemini/skills
Shared ~/.agents/skills

The composer shows a context ring per chat; click it for exact counts and quota. The Usage page (⌘U) shows token and cost history across agents, by model and by project. Type /usage dashboard in a chat to open it.

A browser panel on the system web view (WebKit on macOS, WebKitGTK on Linux). Toggle it with ⌘⇧B.

Open a local image from the Explorer, Quick Open, a chat link or an attachment. Pending image attachments are clickable too.

  • Zoom with the toolbar, + and -, the mouse wheel or a trackpad pinch.
  • Drag to pan. 1 shows actual size, 0 fits the window.
  • Esc closes the viewer and gives focus back.

Supports PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, TIFF and BMP. Animated images show their first frame. Files up to 64 MiB, 32 megapixels and 16,384 pixels per side.

On MacBook Pro models with a Touch Bar, Aether shows New Chat, Terminal, Files, Git Changes, Commands and Settings. Session controls follow the focused pane, in the main window or a detached one. Unavailable actions are disabled, and the macOS Control Strip stays where it is.

A built-in Hacker News reader, on ⌘⇧Y, for while the agents are busy.
