Appearance

Everything here lives in Settings > Appearance, takes effect immediately (except icon packs) and is saved.

Color scheme

• System follows the OS between Default Light and Default Dark.
• Dark and Light: Aether’s defaults.
• Catppuccin: Latte, Frappé, Macchiato, Mocha.
• Rosé Pine: Main, Moon, Dawn.
• Gruvbox: Dark, Light.
• Solarized: Dark, Light.
• Nord.
• Dracula.

The terminal theme is set separately.

Font

Choose any installed font for the UI from a searchable list, each row drawn in its own font. Default is the system font. Monospace surfaces keep the monospace font. Font size is set here too.

Window

• Opacity: how see-through the app’s surfaces are, from 60% to 100% (the default).
• Blur window (macOS only): blurs the desktop behind a translucent window. It has no visible effect at 100% opacity, so it is disabled there.

Icon packs

Aether ships icons from Iconoir, Remix Icon and Solar, with Lucide as the fallback. Changing the pack applies after a restart. See credits for their licenses.
