Agent manager
The Agents page lists every running or open Claude Code, Pi and OpenCode agent on the machine, whether Aether started it or you did from a terminal, tmux or another app. The sidebar’s Agents section shows one extra row, “N running outside aether”, that opens the page.
For each agent it shows the folder, where it was started (Terminal, tmux, or the parent app), and its state: working, waiting or idle.
Actions
Section titled “Actions”- View the agent’s session.
- Open in Aether to continue it as a chat.
- Reveal folder.
- Stop, after you confirm.
What it reads, and what it doesn’t
Section titled “What it reads, and what it doesn’t”Discovery runs off the UI thread and only polls every 2 seconds while the page is visible, every 10 seconds otherwise.
- It lists processes once with
psand their working folders withlsof. - Claude Code: reads
~/.claude/sessions/<pid>.jsonfor the session id, folder, name and status. - Pi: reads the newest session file under
~/.pi/agent/sessions/for that folder. Its state is an estimate. - OpenCode: asks the local OpenCode service, using the same
service.jsoncredentials the OpenCode driver already uses.
It never reads ~/.claude/sessions/*.key or any other auth file, and never reads another process’s environment.
Stopping is careful: Aether never sends SIGKILL, never signals the OpenCode service, shells, tmux or pid 1, and checks the pid and process start time again right before signalling. An OpenCode session is stopped through its API instead of a signal.
Codex and other CLIs are not listed yet.
