Dictation

Click the microphone in the composer, or press ⌘⇧M on macOS or CtrlShiftM on Linux, and speak. Press it again or choose Done, and the text lands in the chat you started from.

Speech is turned into text on this device with whisper.cpp. Audio is not sent anywhere.

• The first use offers a one-time 141 MB model download and asks for microphone permission.
• Dictation is English only.
• Settings > Composer turns dictation off, and downloads or removes the model.
